This "dehumidifier" doesn't! That's the short version: How some of these raters suggested that this would dehumidify a room is beyond me.

I placed this "dehumidifier" in a 25 cubic foot gun safe w/ a humidity gauge. The safe is a quality safe and has great seals, etc. The humidity in the garage where the safe was located indicated 48%.The gauge indicated 61% humidity when I placed it inside the safe. I was out of town for a little over two weeks and the humidity gauge indicated 61% upon return.

This tells me two things:
1. No outside air gets into the safe
2. This thing can't dehumidify anything.

I then put it in my boy's bathroom (3 boys) where the humidity measured 80%--wet towels hanging, wet shower mats, etc. Yes, I know it is too small for a room but I wanted to see if it would change color to indicate it was absorbing anything.

Two weeks and the color was still blue. I called the company in Florida and a man said to send it back and that I might have gotten "bad crystals". Yes, I really intend to spend $7 to send this junk back and maybe receive another piece of junk.

I've owned this shaver for 7 months. First off, the battery power and shaving power has definately diminished. It has to be on charge all the time when I'm not using it. If I forget to plug it in after shaving, it's really weak and I can just barely get a second shave out of it. I've never had cuts or anything like that as other people have. You do have to take the foil top off and knock and clean it out running under water after every use to have any chance at a good shave. Otherwise it gets all clogged with whiskers. I have a very course beard (I can literally grow a beard in a few days after a clean shave) so i wouldn't recommend for it. I have to make probably 5 passes over each area of my face to get a decent shave when shaving daily. And right under your chin, and the bottom of your neckline, forget it. I try turning the shaver every which way, it just won't cut certain areas for some reason. I have a cheap disposable to quickly do the rest of the job. Also if your beard is course like mine, you'll have to allow 5-7 minutes for shaving to keep going over every area 5x. Thats a long time in the morning to allow when trying to get to work. Definately recommend for a younger person or someone with a light beard. Course beard, do not buy. Also I had no luck with using it wet. It actually won't shave anything at all. Best results are right after a shower with the bathroom all steamed up and face dry but soft. I bought these because I wanted to replace an SR44. In the "product detail" section of the Amazon web site for this it says this:

However, from further research it seems that the 357A is not an equivalent of SR44, but a 357 would have been. Apparently the 'A' stands for Alkaline whereas the non-'A' part is a silver-oxide battery. They have the same size and shape, but there is a slight difference in initial voltage and the alkaline battery slowly decreases in voltage whereas the silver-oxide tends to keep its voltage constant and then dies quickly at the end of life. The 357 is better for demanding applications such as calculators.

Also, the batteries have no expiration date provided. The packaging says PD: and ED: 2 years (PD is blank ). I'm guessing PD stands for production date, and ED is the expiration date. But two years from a blank production date tells you nothing of the age. We can only hope that their claim of "new" and "fresh" batteries is correct.

So, undoubtedly great value for money, fast delivery, but dishonest and misleading information in the Amazon "Product Information" section and no date code on the packaging or battery means I give this a lower rating than I would have otherwise done.
