I have been using this tub for my almost-six-month-old since he was born. For most of that period he's been squirmy and unhappy with baths. This tub has been the extra pair of hands I needed to hold him in place, keep him from sliding into the water, and let me bathe him. It keeps him secure and comfortable, which means less scared. Now that he's starting to sit being able to sit him up and lay him down again is great. The only weakness is that before he sat up it was a little hard to clean his neck since his chin is always on his chest in the reclining position. Haven't tried the other, "sitting" side yet, but once he's sitting well I'll probably bathe him with his older brother anyway.
