I have used Braun shavers since 1955, with brief exceptions for a Phillips (didn't shave) and a Remington (loud and rough). Therefore, it took some really positive reviews and a great Amazon price to tempt me into this one. I have now used it for a month. It is quick, relatively quiet, smooth on the skin and leaves said skin just about as smooth as the proverbial baby's bottom. I am thrilled with it.
